Hugh S. Potts

HUGH S. POTTS, JR., was born and has resided in Kosciusko, Mississippi
all of his life. He was educated in the local public schools and
received his B.A. degree and his Juris Doctorate from the University of
Mississippi. He is also a graduate of LSU School of Banking and ABA’s
Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers University. Since joining
Merchants and Farmers Bank in 1972, Potts has served as a member of the
Board of Directors and an officer. He is presently Chairman and CEO of
First M&F Corporation, a one-bank holding company; Merchants and
Farmers Bank; and President of First M&F Insurance Company and M&F
