Howard Skip Speaks

HOWARD ‘SKIP’ SPEAKS is President and Chief Executive Officer of Triton
Network Systems, Inc. Mr. Speaks is committed to keeping every aspect of
the company, from research and development, to installation and
commissioning, to long-term customer support centered on fulfilling
customer needs. To honor this commitment, he leverages off his more than
15 years of communications experience and his extensive industry
contacts. He gained much of this experience as the Executive Vice
President and General Manager of Ericsson, Inc.’s Network Operators
Group, and prior to this, as a dynamic manager in the earlier years of
Sprint Inc. He joined Sprint in the early 1980’s in an office of less
than 70 people when Sprint was an unknown virtual start-up. Similarly,
when he joined Ericsson US, the domestic branch of Ericsson had less
than 100 employees and a few tens of millions of dollars in annual US
revenues. He was a key member of the management team that led the
company’s US growth to thousands of employees and billions of dollars in
annual revenue, delivering carrier-class equipment and services to
network operators. Most recently as the leader of Ericsson’s Network
Operators Group, Mr. Speaks focused on the development of the Ericsson
US data communications and IP business, while growing the company’s vast
base business of fixed and wireless infrastructure and services. This
push into a new dimension of the industry is characteristic of his
continuing dynamic thrust of developing new telecommunications
businesses. Also significant is Mr. Speaks’ experience with investor
relations and influential participation in key industry associations,
such as Personal Communications Industry Association (PCIA) and Cellular
Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA). Collectively, this
experience and attitude make him an outstanding leader of Triton Network
Systems, Inc. Mr. Speaks is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a
BS in Engineering from West Virginia Institute of Technology.
