Horace Auberry

HORACE AUBERRY has been Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive
Officer of Wellco Enterprises, Inc. since 1997. He is responsible for
all operations, with concentration on Product Development, Marketing and
Manufacturing. Prior to joining Wellco, he was Executive Vice President
and General Manager of Hi-Pals Footwear Subsidiary in Darien, Georgia.
Mr. Auberry held various positions with Hi-Pals from 1962-1967. From
1955-1959, he was Assistant Chief Industrial Engineer, Timken Roller
Bearing, Canton, Ohio, responsible for general I.E. activity in the
highly automated automobile roller bearing plant, the second man in a
four-man department. He was Senior Industrial Engineer, Time Study Man.
Mr. Auberry has an AB degree with double major in Math and Chemistry
from Western Carolina University. He is a member of the Executive
Committee of Footwear Industries of America which became a Division of
American Apparel and Footwear Association in 2000); former Chairman of
Footwear Industries of America National Affairs Committee; member and
former Chairman of joint industry-government Footwear Modernization
Committee charged with writing and updating specifications for all
military footwear.
