GNTHER KINAST is Chief Executive Officer of Basilea Pharmaceutica.
Gnther Kinast received a PhD in Organic Chemistry, Natural Products
from the University of Mnster, Germany and additional degrees in
chemistry and pharmacology. In addition, Dr. Kinast completed a
postdoctoral fellowship in pharmacology at State University of New York.
He has 25 years of industry experience with Bayer AG in leading
positions in the pharmaceutical division, including research with a
focus on cardiovascular, metabolic and infectious diseases; plant
biotechnology; animal health biologicals; business planning and
development; and product development.
