GILLES R. GAGNON is President and Chief Executive Officer of terna
Zentaris Inc. Mr. Gagnon spent 25 years in the management of healthcare-
related organizations in both hospital administration (eight years) and
in the pharmaceutical industry (17 years), where he held several
executive positions and participated in the launch of many innovative
drugs. Prior to joining terna Zentaris, Mr. Gagnon was Vice President,
External Affairs for Novartis Pharma Canada Inc. He holds postgraduate
degrees in Pharmacology (MSc) and Administration (MBA) from the
Universite de Sherbrooke, and a Certificate in General Management from
the London Business School, UK.
