Gilles Larame

GILlES LARAME is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 20
years’ experience in corporate financing, treasury, taxation,
investment, business acquisitions, asset management, foreign exchange
risk and internal and external audits. He obtained a Bachelor of
Business Administration in 1983, majoring in Public Accounting at the
University of Montreal’s School of Business Administration, HEC
Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He received his CA in 1985 from the Canadian
Institute of Chartered Accountants and completed the Advanced Management
Program, Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts in 1999. Mr. Larame
began his career with the Montreal Accounting firms of Zittrer, Siblin,
Stein, Levine and then joined Clarkson Gordon as a Senior Audit or. He
joined SNC-Lavalin, a Canadian-based global engineering and construction
company, in 1986 as Senior Accountant for eight of the company’s
subsidiaries. Over the next three years, he assumed increasing
responsibilities as Analyst, reporting and control; Chief Accountant,
with responsibility for monthly financial statements; and Assistant
Treasurer responsible for all banking activities. In 1991, he was
appointed Treasurer responsible for the corporation’s banking activities
and taxation. In 1995, he was named Senior Vice President and
Controller, responsible for all financial reporting, budgeting,
forecasting and financial controls. In 1999, he was appointed Executive
Vice President, member of the Officer of the President (the senior
decision-making management group composed of the CEO and Executive Vice
Presidents) and Chief Financial Officer with full responsibility for all
SNC-Lavalin financial affairs, as well as for investor relations,
administration, public relations, legal affairs, insurance, and the Risk
and Evaluation Committee.
