Gail M. Dudack

GAIL M. DUDACK is an Investment Strategist and Consultant. She is a
well-known commentator, writer and consultant on the US securities
markets. Ms. Dudack was most recently the Chief Investment Strategist
for UBS Warburg, joining the division of UBS AG (then S.G. Warburg &
Co.) in February 1987 as Chief Investment Strategist. Ms. Dudack began
her career in the early 1970s at the Pershing division of Donaldson,
Lufkin, Jenrette Inc. as a Research Associate, where she became the
Chief Market Analyst. In addition to her normal role of strategist, Ms.
Dudack was the President of DLJ’s Employees Federal Credit Union from
1977 to 1980, a trustee of the S.G. Warburg Employee Retirement from
1988-1995, President of the Market Technicians Association from 1985 to
1987, and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts Board of
Directors from 1989-1991. Ms. Dudack is a founding member of the
International Federation of Technical Analysts, a past arbitrator for
the NASD and a prior member of the Business Research Advisory Council
(BRAC) for consumer and producer price indices at the Department of
Labor. She is a trustee and currently serves on the Curriculum Committee
of the Securities Industry Institute, the educational body of the
Securities Industry Association. Ms. Dudack was a rotating panelist on
‘Wall Street Week With Louis Rukeyser’ for over 20 years. She is a
frequent guest commentator on CNBC, CNNfn, Bloomberg TV, PBS’s ‘Nightly
Business Report’, CNN’s ‘Moneyline’ and ‘Market Wrap’ programs, anchored
the UBS Warburg weekly spot on Yahoo TV and is a guest speaker at a
variety of business and investment forums both domestically and abroad.
Ms. Dudack received an Honors degree in Economics from Skidmore College
in 1970. In 1969, she was chosen by her economics professors to receive
The Wall Street Journal Award for the most promising student in finance.
In 1990 she received the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation
awarded by the Market Technicians Association. In early 1997, Ms. Dudack
received the Market Technicians Association’s award for the best price
analysis and market forecasting for the previous five-year period. In
June 2001 she received the Special Achievement Award from Skidmore
College for her unique contribution in the field of Finance. She will
contribute to a PBS ‘Frontline’ documentary on the stock market that is
currently in production and scheduled for release later this year.
