Fred R. Nichols

FRED R. NICHOLS is Chairman of the Board, CEO and President of TCA Cable
TV, Inc. He was named Chairman and CEO in September 1997. Mr. Nichols
joined TCA in 1980 as Treasurer and has served in various capacities
until being named President and COO in 1990. Prior to joining TCA, Mr.
Nichols spent nine years in commercial banking and four years in public
accounting. Mr. Nichols is a graduate of Baylor University. He currently
serves on the Board of Directors of the Cable Telecommunications
Association (CATA) and the National Cable Television Association (NCTA),
trade associations of the cable television industry; C-SPAN, a cable
television network; and is Chairman of the Board of Telesynergy, Inc., a
cable television programming purchasing consortium.
