Frank Martin

FRANK MARTIN is the Chief Executive Officer of Hornby Plc. He graduated
in 1973 with an Honours degree in Management Sciences from The
University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST.)
His first job was with the Raleigh Cycle Co, with whom he attended his
first British Toy Fair in 1976. Between 1981 and 1986 he was Marketing
Director of Hasbro UK. He took up his first General Management position
in 1987 as Managing Director of Denby Pottery, where he oversaw a turn
around in performance from losses to substantial profit. He joined
Hornby Plc as Chief Executive Officer in January 2001, prior to which
since 1995 he had been Chief Executive Officer of model paints and
Airfix plastic kit maker Humbrol Ltd.
