F. JRGEN SCHNEIDER is the Chief Executive Officer of A.S. Cration
Tapeten AG. After completing his studies in Business Administration, he
worked for two years in the position of Deputy Sales Director in a local
company specializing in the installation of production and warehouse
facilities, prior to a move into the wallpaper industry on June 1, 1968.
In his new position, he had the opportunity to acquaint himself with all
facets of the wallpaper business, until in 1974 he was entrusted by the
shareholders and management of the company to set up a new wallpaper
factory. The idea for this expansion arose from the basic belief that
innovation and creativity prosper in smaller companies. Mr. Schneider
began with a team of four colleagues and was able to systematically grow
and develop the factory. On January, 1st 1990, Mr. Schneider
successfully completed a management buyout (MBO) together with the
venture capitalist 3in Germany. As majority shareholder he was able from
the beginning to utilize his entrepreneurial skills to develop the
company into what it is today.
