Elma S. Hawkins

ELMA S. HAWKINS was named as Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Viral
Research on February 12th, 2004. Dr Hawkins also serves as a Member of
the Executive Management Committee for ADVR. Previously, Dr Hawkins
served as Vice Chairman of Antigenics, a biotechnology company which is
developing personalized immunotherapeutics and revolutionary treatments
for cancers, autoimmune diseases and infections. She has also had prior
experience in corporate development and regulatory affairs at Genzyme
Corporation and held preclinical and regulatory positions at Warner-
Lambert/Parke Davis Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Hawkins brings with her two
decades of drug development and management experience which should serve
Advanced Viral Research Corp. well in advancing its lead product, AVR118
through clinical trials and toward commercialization.
