Edward McDaid

EDWARD MCDAID, CEO, a Chartered Accountant, has been Director of AorTech
since the company commenced trading in November 1992. Mr. McDaid
together with Mr. Gordon Wright, were the foundling directors of AorTech
and were directors and partners at previous Medical Device companies.
Mr. McDaid qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1971 and spent four
years with Coopers & Lybrand from 1972 to 1976, latterly as a senior
audit manager in Zambia. In 1981 he set up his own chartered accountancy
practise which merged with Pannell Kerr Forster in 1985. He became a
partner in Pannell Kerr Forster from 1985 to 1989. Mr. McDaid was
appointed CEO when the company floated on the London Stock Market in
February 1997.
