Edmond F. Buccellato

EDMOND F. BUCCELLATO is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the
Board of Directors of Advanced Biotherapy, Inc. He was co-founder and
member of the board of directors of Phase Medical, Inc., an infusion
therapy company that developed and patented a novel safety intravenous
catheter to protect healthcare providers form accidental “needle-stick”
injury, protecting them from exposure to infectious diseases. Mr.
Buccellato and his co-founders sold the company to Becton Dickinson in
1994. As reported in the October 8, 2001 issue of Fortune Magazine,
“Over half of the company’s (BD’s) $2.8 billion in sales for the nine
months ended June 30, 2001, and probably a larger portion of its
operating income, were generated by products with an attached cannula,”
of which the Phase Medical catheter acquired by BD made a significant
financial contribution. He was co-founder and member of the board of
directors of Synergistic Systems, Inc., the largest medical billing
company in the western United States sold to a major publicly held
company in 1996. He is co-founder and member of the board of directors
of Polymer Safety, LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of medical and
industrial safety wear. He is co-founder of Physicians’ Choice LLC, a
medical billing company. Mr. Buccellato received his undergraduate
degree in finance and accounting from California State University at San
Diego, and his MBA degree with an emphasis in finance from the
University of Southern California.
