Steven A. Carlson

DR. STEVEN A. CARLSON, Co-Founder, President and CEO of Optodot
Corporation. Dr. Carlson has over 20 years of experience as a chief
technology officer or chief marketing officer for high technology
companies in the imaging, data storage media, coatings, and chemicals
businesses. He is the primary inventor of Optodot’s technology and has
led the development and manufacturing scaleup of many commercial
products, including floppy disks with automated manufacturing assembly
lines, computer tapes, ink jet imaging media, and laser ablation
transfer color imaging media. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from
Principia College and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from MIT with his
research in photochemistry. He is also a registered patent agent with
over 7 years of experience in preparing and prosecuting patents in a
variety of high technology areas.
