Sanjay Kakkar

DR. SANJAY KAKKAR is Chief Executive Officer and Executive
Director of Trigen Ltd. He received a Medical degree from King’s
College, University of London, in 1991. Upon completing
internships in general medicine and surgery, he entered the
commercial sector by joining the venture capital subsidiary of
the Bank of Boston in London. From there he joined Sandoz (now
Novartis) in Milan, Italy, where he worked as a product manager
in the immunology field. In 1994 he was recruited to Pharmacia
Inc. in the US to head up the medical affairs program for its
anti-thrombotic products. He returned to the UK during the summer
of 1997 in order to take up the position of Chief Executive
Officer at Trigen, having completed a Master’s degree in
Healthcare Management at Harvard University.
