Roger Gilbert

DR ROGER GILBERT is Chief Executive of VEGA Group Plc, a leading IT
Services company specialising in training, satellite operations,
simulations and process control. He joined VEGA in April 1997 from EDS
where he was Group Director, responsible for EDS’s UK Defence business.
Roger was educated at Queens’ College Cambridge where he obtained a
first class honours degree in Theoretical Physics. He was awarded his
Ph.D from the University of Leeds. Roger’s early career was with the
Atomic Energy Research Establishement at Harwell. He worked within the
Computer Science and Systems Division on Computer Language Compilers and
Text Retrieval Systems. Roger lives in Datchworth near Welwyn Garden
City with Lynda, his wife. He has two sons and a daughter.
