Richard A. Karp

Prior to designing the DCT Test Software and founding Catapult
Communications Corp. in 1985, DR. RICHARD A. KARP spent three years as
Vice President of Software Development for Tri-Data, Inc. Previously, he
was a Founder, Vice President of Software, and Principal Architect for
Sequoia Systems. Dr. Karp has worked as an Independent Software
Consultant, and has spent five years as a Systems Programmer and Project
Leader at Unisys Corporation. As a Peace Corps Volunteer in the late
1960s, he taught Math and Computer Science at the University of
Philippines. Dr. Karp received his Doctorate in Computer Science from
Stanford University. He holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the
University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the
California Institute of Technology.
