Paul M. Walker

Dr. PAUL M. WALKER left the position of COO of the Toronto
General Hospital to join Spectral Diagnostics Inc. as President
and CEO, a position he has held since April 2001. Previously, Dr.
Walker was Surgeon in Chief and Vice President of the Surgical
Directorate of the University Hospital Network. This position
involved the management of healthcare funding, ensuring maximum
delivery and quality, as well as the academic development of all
professional staff. Dr. Walker was an active Vascular Surgeon and
the Director of the Intensive Care Program at the University of
Toronto. He was also Professor of Medicine and Laboratory
Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Walker received his MD
from the University of Western Ontario, his PhD from the
Salgrenska University of Gteborg, Sweden, and holds a Fellowship
in Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of
Canada. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of
Harvard Business School.
