Michael M. Goldberg

DR. MICHAEL M. GOLDBERG joined Emisphere Technologies, Inc., in August
1990 as Chief Executive Officer and became Chairman of the Board of
Directors in November 1991. Before joining Emisphere, Dr. Goldberg was a
Vice President of The First Boston Corporation, where he was a founding
member of the Healthcare Banking Group. He received his MD from Albany
Medical College of Union Universit and his MBA from Columbia University
Graduate School of Business.
