Mark B. Chandler

DR. MARK B. CHANDLER founded Luminex Corporation in May 1995, and has
served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since that
date and as President since June 1999. He also has served as a member of
the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors since its formation in
July 1997. In 1982 he founded Inland Laboratories, Inc., which provides
plant and bacterial toxins to the medical research community. As the
President and CEO of Inland, Dr. Chandler received the KPMG Peat Marwick
in High Technology Entrepreneur of the Year award in 1987. He received
his PhD Immunology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical
School in Dallas.
