Louis R. Tomasetta

DR. LOUIS R. TOMASETTA, a co-founder of Vitesse Semiconductor Corp., has
been President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director since the
company’s inception in February 1987. From 1984 to 1987, Dr. Tomasetta
served as President of the Integrated Circuits Division of Vitesse
Electronics Corporation. Prior to that, Dr. Tomasetta was the Director
of the Advanced Technology Implementation department at Rockwell
International Corporation. In this position, he had responsibility for
over $50 million in programs, including the ARPA GaAs pilot line. Dr.
Tomasetta has over 25 years of experience in the management and
development of GaAs-based businesses, products and technology. He
received a BS, MS, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
