John Teeling

DR JOHN TEELING is Chairman of Petrel Resources Plc. He is also the
founder and Chairman of Cooley Distillery the only Irish owned whiskey
company in the world. Founded in 1988, it currently exports to 41
countries. He has 30 years experience of natural resources and has set
up a number of ventures four of which are quoted on the stock exchange.
African Gold is mining gold in Zimbabwe. Minco is an Irish zinc/lead
explorer: Pan Andean is a Bolivian /US oil explorer and producer and
Petrel Resources is attempting to develop an oil business in Iraq.
Educated at University College Dublin (B Comm, M Econ Sc) the Wharton
School at the University of Pennsylavania (MBA), he holds a doctorate in
business from the Harvard Business School. He lectured in business
administration in University College Dublin for 20 years.
