Elliot Goldstein

Dr. ELLIOT GOLDSTEIN is the Chief Executive Officer of British Biotech
Plc. Dr. Goldstein, Canadian by birth, graduated in 1972 with a BSc in
genetics from McGill University, Montreal. In 1979, he received his MD
from the Faculte de Medecine D’Aix-Marseille, France. In 1980, Dr.
Goldstein joined Sandos Laboratories in France and over the next 14
years held positions with them in France and Switzerland and in 1988,
moved to the United States to head Sandos’s US clinical research. In
1994, he joined SmithKline Beecham to head Worldwide Strategic Product
Development, a post he held until joining British Biotech as CEO in
September 1998.
