DOUGLAS J. MCGREGOR is chairman and chief executive officer of M.A.
Hanna Company. Mr. McGregor joined M.A. Hanna as senior vice president
of operations in 1988. He was promoted to president and chief operating
officer in 1989 and elected to the company’s board of directors in 1990.
He was elected CEO January 1, 1997, and was elected chairman effective
July 1. Mr. McGregor, 57, came to M.A. Hanna from Rockwell
International, Inc. where he spent 15 years in the company’s automotive
operations. In his final position, he served as president of the light
vehicle components group. Before joining Rockwell, Mr. McGregor was with
the Ford Motor Company, where he held positions in financial and
operations analysis. He joined Ford after graduating from the University
of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a degree in business administration. He
also earned a master’s degree in business administration from Eastern
Michigan University, Ypsilanti. Mr. McGregor is a director of KeyCorp,
Cleveland, and Vulcan Materials Company, Birmingham, Ala., and is on the
board of trustees of the Playhouse Square Foundation and the Cleveland
Institute of Music, Cleveland. He is a member of the Society of
Automotive Engineers, the Society of Plastics Engineers and the Society
of the Plastic Industry.
