Doug Biles brings over 35 years of experience in the upstream hydrocarbon industry to his role as President and CEO of WesCorp Energy, Inc. This experience includes a broad scope of technical, operational, management and board issues, ranging from company formation, license negotiations – both from the government and the operator sides – through greenfield and rehabilitation projects to sales of companies. Mr. Biles was Chairman of the Chinook Group from 1993 to 2003. During his tenure at Chinook, he was temporarily assigned to four of its clients: the Republic Of Azerbaijan, where he was the country’s Adviser and lead negotiator for oil and gas from 1993 to1994; Bridas Energy International SA, where he was technical director from 1994 to 1995; Dragon Oil plc, where he was technical director from 1995 to 1997; and Atlantic Caspian Resources plc, where he was CEO and director from 1997 to 1999. Mr. Biles was also a Director for two Kerr McGee Corporation subsidiaries, Operations Manager for Murphy Oil Company of Canada, Ltd., and Country Production Manager for Kerr McGee Canada, Ltd. Hes is a member of the Alberta Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists (APEGGA) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). Mr. Biles holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, both from the University of Calgary.
