Deryk King

DERYK KING has been Chief Executive Officer of Centrica North America
since December 2000. After graduating from Oxford University in 1970,
Mr. King held a number of International Sales and Marketing posts with
Air Products Ltd. and ICI, including three years spent working in Japan.
After moving into General Management in the Commodity Chemicals and
Agricultural businesses, he was appointed Managing Director of ICI’s
global polyester business in 1992. In 1996 he was appointed Group
Managing Director of PowerGen Plc, before joining Centrica Plc in 1999.
Mr. King is also a Non-Executive Director of the Kvrner Group and Ellis
& Everard Plc and until recently worked with the National Lottery
Charities Board as Chairman of the West Midlands region and a member of
the England Committee.
