David Strasser is a Managing Director of Equity Research for the retail sector at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC. Before joining the firm, Mr. Strasser worked as a Managing Director at Banc of America Securities, covering consumer hardline and broadline retail stocks. Before Banc of America Securities, he was a Founding Partner of Moda Partners and Co-Founder of the retail/consumer sector hedge fund. Prior to Mr. Strasser’s tenure at Moda Partners, he was the Consumer Group Sector Head at Andor Capital. Before that, he was a Senior Research Analyst at Citigroup, where he covered the hardlines retail sector. In 2000 Mr. Strasser was named a runner-up in the Institutional Investor “All-America Research Team.” Mr. Strasser received a bachelor’s degree from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
