DAVID R. GIBSON, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of Wilmington Trust Corporation, is responsible for
managing the company’s tax, accounting, financial reporting,
treasury, corporate development and investor relations
activities. In addition, he has responsibility for
asset/liability management, loan review and chairs the company’s
Benefits Committee. Mr. Gibson also oversees the management of
all aspects of administration for Wilmington Trust, including the
human resources, general services and legal divisions. He is a
graduate of the University of Delaware and earned a Master’s
degree in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. He
has also earned credentials as a Certified Managerial Accountant.
Mr. Gibson is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and
the National Association of Accountants, and is a member of the
Board of Directors of St. Edmond’s Academy. He was elected Senior
Vice President and Finance Department Manager and a member of the
senior management committee in 1992. He was named CFO of
Wilmington Trust in 1996.
