David L. Brown

DAVID L. BROWN is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Telescan, Inc., a publicly traded company, and one of the country’s
leading information technology companies. Previously, he served as
President of Technology Information Center, Inc., which developed a
computer-based communications system for the biotechnology field. This
company was sold to the international conglomerate Maxwell
Communications Corporation. Mr. Brown is co-author of Cyber-Investing:
Cracking Wall Street With Your Personal Computer, a book on computerized
investing, and Wall Street City, a book on investing on the Internet,
both published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Mr. Brown also co-authored
Getting Started In Online Investing, which will be published in
February, 1999 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. He has written a number of
financial-related publications and currently edits a market letter
called the Cyber-Investing Newsletter. He was also editor for five years
of two former market letters, Hedged Options Trader and Undervalued
Growth Stocks Letter. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University
of Houston and has taught university-level courses at his alma mater in
corporate finance and security analysis. He also hold a B.S. degree in
Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Brown
began his career in the space program at NASA where he headed the team
of engineers who designed the landing gear for the first lunar module.
Since that time, he has been involved in a number of successful
entrepreneurial enterprises.
