David L. Barthel

DAVID L. BARTHEL is President and CEO of SmartPill. As President and
CEO, Mr. Barthel is responsible for the development, management, and
profitable growth of this developer of medical device products for
diagnostic GI healthcare. Mr. Barthel has led the company from start-up
phase through the asset purchase of the SmartPill platform, and has
demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis,
fundraising, development and delivery of medical devices, and business
plan execution. Mr. Barthel, as Chief Administrative Officer for Opus
360 Corporation in New York, New York, an internet B2B E-Commerce start-
up was responsible for the management of the sales organization and the
integration of three start-up acquisitions. Mr. Barthel holds a BS in
Business Administration and Management from St. Norbert College and an
MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
