David J. Hegarty

DOCUMENT DAVID J. HEGARTY is President and Chief Operating
Officer of Senior Housing Properties Trust. Senior Housing is a
real estate investment trust listed on the New York Stock
Exchange that invests in senior housing real estate. Senior
Housing currently has $1.2 billion invested in 119 retirement
complexes, nursing homes and assisted living centers. Senior
Housing was formed as a spin-off of HRPT Properties Trust, a New
York Stock Exchange listed real estate investment trust that
invests in commercial and medical office properties. Mr. Hegarty
previously was President and Chief Operating Officer of HRPT
Properties Trust. Mr. Hegarty also is on the Board of Advisors of
Radius Ventures, a venture capital fund that invests in the
healthcare industry. Mr. Hegarty is a Certified Public Accountant
and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.
