DAVID HARVEY is President and Chief Executive Officer of Sigma-
Aldrich Corporation. He joined the company in its European
operations in 1974. He relocated to the US in 1981 and served as
President of Aldrich from 1981 to 1986. Mr. Harvey became a Vice
President of Sigma-Aldrich Corporation in 1976, Executive Vice
President in 1982, Chief Operating Officer in 1983, President in
1995, Chief Executive Officer in 1999 and Chairman in 2000. He
received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Oxford University in 1963.
