David Haberman

DAVID HABERMAN is the Chairman and co-Founder of DCH Technology, Inc.,
which is a seven-year old public company. DCH specializes in hydrogen
technology development, safety, and process monitoring and hydrogen fuel
cell power systems. Mr. Haberman is a co-Founder of the California
Hydrogen Business Council. He is an American delegate and member of the
International Standards Organization Working Group TC 197, Working Group
#7 on hydrogen system safety. He is a Trustee of the Desert Research
Institute of the University of Nevada. Mr. Haberman was appointed by the
Secretary of Energy to represent the perspectives of commercial product
developers and safety on the Hydrogen Technical Advisory Panel. This
panel created by the Hydrogen Future Act, reports directly to the
Secretary and contributes to his reports on the National Hydrogen
Program to the U. S. Congress. He was HTAP’s expert witness to the
Congressional Science Committee on the Hydrogen Future Act. He is
educated in Electrical Engineering and Optics. He worked as both a
systems and applications engineer in the aerospace and aviation sector
from 1980 to 1994. His initial work in hydrogen was related to the
generation of ultra-cold hydrogen fuel for the Space and Strategic
Defense Initiative Programs. He is the primary author of the White Sands
Missile Range study, which related flight safety of hydrogen-powered
air/space craft to the concepts of free flight (satellite) navigation.
He has defined and co-created several cooperative research and
development programs with the National Laboratories of the Department of
Energy in the areas of hydrogen sensors, fuel cells and hydrogen energy
system integration. Mr. Haberman is a cited author or contributor of
over 40 publications regarding hydrogen technology, infrastructure,
business and policy.
