David E. Shaw

DAVID E. SHAW has been Chief Executive Officer and President of IDEXX
Laboratories since July 1999. He also served as Chief Executive Officer
of the company from its incorporation in 1983 until February 1999, and
as President of the company from 1983 until October 1993. Mr. Shaw has
been Chairman of the Board since 1983 and served as Executive Chairman
from February 1999 to July 1999.
