David Baeza

DAVID BAEZA is the co-Founder, President and CEO of Sonicport.com, Inc.
Mr. Baeza has more than 10 years of experience in telecommunications and
marketing. Prior to founding Sonicport, Mr. Baeza was Founder and
Director of FMF Pro-motion. FMF designed telecommunications platforms to
support national television advertising campaigns. Clients included
Elite Model Management, MTV Europe, Raygun Publishing and Sony. Mr.
Baeza was Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of CGI,
Inc., a company specializing in direct television marketing of
telecommunications services, such as voice mail and long distance. CGI
signed up approximately 380,000 paying subscribers during its first year
of operation. Prior to CGI, Mr. Baeza was the Director of Sales for
Federal TransTel (FTT). FTT is one of the nation’s preeminent billing
companies for telecommunications products. Mr. Baeza also has extensive
experience in merchant banking. He was the Vice President of Sales for
R.J. Gordon & Company (Inc. 500). Mr. Baeza managed the sales for the
domestic and European bank portfolios. During his career, Mr. Baeza was
co-Founder and Executive Director of the Teleservices Industry
Association (TIA). The TIA lobbied on Capitol Hill on behalf of the
telecommunications industry to amend the Telecommunications Bill.
Further, Mr. Baeza designed and launched the nation’s first national
AIDS/STD information line for the Centers for Disease Control, (CDC).
Mr. Baeza holds an MBA from Nova University in Florida (Summa Cum
Laude), and a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from California
Polytechnic University.
