David A. Oxlade

DAVID A. OXLADE is Group Chief Executive Officer of Xenova Group Plc. He
joined Xenova as Chief Executive, Xenova Discovery Limited in June 1997
and was appointed Group Chief Executive in March 1998. He has over 30
years experience worldwide in the healthcare industry, and has worked
extensively at the general management level in the US and Asia as well
as in Europe. Prior to joining Xenova, he held the position of President
of the Syva Division of Behring Diagnostics Inc., following the
acquisition of Syva Company by Hoechst AG in 1995. Prior to joining Syva
Company as Senior Vice President, International, Mr. Oxlade held
increasingly responsible positions in general management, marketing and
sales worldwide at ICI Diagnostics and Boehringer Mannheim GMbH.
Originally trained as a Biochemist, he has successfully created new
businesses and overseen the introduction of pioneering new technology in
fields such as molecular genetics. Appointed an Honorary Fellow of
Brunel University in 2003, he also chaired the European Working Group of
the (DTI) Bioscience and Innovation Growth Team (2003) and is a member
of the BioScience Leadership Council.
