Dave Mercer

DAVE MERCER has served as President and Chief Executive Officer
of Interpore International, Inc., since March 1992. He is also
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company. Prior to
joining Interpore, Mr. Mercer was President of the US operations
of Kirschner Medical Corporation, a manufacturer of orthopedic
implants and softgoods. Before that he held several senior
management positions with Zimmer Inc. (a division of Bristol-
Myers Squibb), the largest manufacturer of orthopaedic products
in the US. Mr. Mercer earned his BS in Business
Administration/Economics from Ohio State University. A former
Naval Flight Officer with numerous combat awards, he retired from
the U.S. Naval Reserves with the rank of Commander. He is a
licensed commercial pilot and certified instrument flight
instructor.
