Daniel M. Bell

DANIEL M. BELL, a Founder of Kos Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has served as
Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of the company since its
inception. Prior to Kos, Mr. Bell was employed by Key Pharmaceuticals
and was serving as its Executive Vice President and Chief Operating
Officer at the time of Key’s acquisition by Schering-Plough in June
1986. Before Key, Mr. Bell was a Management Consultant and Chief
Financial Officer of a conglomerate of several public companies. From
1965’1977, Mr. Bell worked at Ford Motor Company, last serving as
Director of Financial Analysis on the corporate financial staff. Mr.
Bell received BA and MBA degrees from the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill.
