Christian L. Oberbeck is Managing Partner and a Founder of Saratoga Partners, a New York-based alternative investment firm, and he is Chairman of the board of Saratoga Investment Corporation, a publicly traded business development company traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol SAR. Saratoga Partners manages publicly traded Saratoga Investment Corp., and four private equity partnerships with more than 34 corporate acquisitions during the past 25 years in the manufacturing and business services industries. These acquisitions include publicly traded corporations, private companies and divisions of larger corporations. Saratoga Partners has been an independent firm since its 1998 spinoff from Dillon, Read & Co. in conjunction with the sale to UBS AG. Mr. Oberbeck graduated from Brown University with a B.S. in physics and a B.A. in mathematics, and he received his MBA from Columbia University.
