Carl W. Marker

For the last decade, CARL W. MARKER, has served as President and Chief
Porfolio Manger of Portland-based, IMS Capital Management, Inc. IMS
Capital Management is a registered investment advisory firm serving
individuals and institutions. Mr. Marker is also the portfolio manager
of the IMS Capital Value Fund, a no-load mutual fund which focuses on
the stocks of large, U.S. companies. Prior to founding IMS, Mr. Marker
was a financial systems analyst for subsidiaries of both General Motors
and Mercedes-Benz. He is a member of the Portland Society of Financial
Analysts and formerly wrote a market analysis column for Oregon Business
Magazine. Mr. marker is regularly quoted in the press and has been
published or appeared in numerous investment newsletters, magazines and
newspapers including ‘Smart Money’ and ‘The Wall Street Journal’. He has
been a guest on such PBS television programs as ‘Serious Money’ and the
‘Nightly Business Report’. Mr. marker is a native of Portland and earned
