BRYAN NORCROSS, President and Chief Executive Officer of America’s Emergency
Network, Inc., became nationally known after he “talked South Florida through”
Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Since that time he has anchored the coverage of
numerous hurricanes and for 12 years provided analysis for CBS News. America’s
Emergency Network is a satellite-based emergency communications system that
allows government agencies to send live news briefings to the public and the
media, even when traditional communications systems are knocked out. The system
is currently deployed in Florida and is being installed at the National
Hurricane Center in Miami.
