Brian Kirwin

BRIAN KIRWIN, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Bonanza Gold
Corp. since December 2000, holds an MSc in Mineral Exploration. He served as
Vice President, Exploration for Vengold Inc. from 1996 to 2000. From 1989 to
1996 he served in various capacities for Placer Dome Inc., evaluating prospects,
mines and investment risks worldwide. Mr. Kirwin has been credited with three
gold deposit discoveries and has extensive experience with metal deposits close
to first production.
