AXEL HLZER is Chief Operating Officer and Financial Director of
Marseille-Kliniken AG. Having studied business administration and
management in Berlin, he worked from 1988 to 1995 in the fields of
auditing and business consultancy at Arthur Andersen offices in Hanover,
Hamburg and Milan. In 1993 he took the tax consultant’s examinations. In
May 1995 Mr. Holzer joined Marseille-Kliniken AG as Financial Director.
In 1996 he was appointed fully authorized representative and from
September 1998 given the task of running the Board secretariat for the
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ulrich Marseille. In May 1999 Mr.
Hlzer was appointed to the Board of Directors and took charge of the
new department ‘Participating Interests.’ In addition, he was made CEO
and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCS Standard Computer Systeme
AG, the Marseille subsidiary which was spun off on May 5, 2000. As of
January 10, 2000, Mr. Hlzer was given special responsibility for
finance and appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of Marseille-Kliniken
AG.
