August Moretti

AUGUST MORETTI is Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of
SurroMed, Inc. He joined SurroMed in January 2001 after practicing
corporate and securities law for 25 years at Heller Ehrman White &
McAuliffe, a national law firm. In his practice Mr. Moretti represented
a broad range of life science companies, including Affymax, Affymetrix,
Maxygen, Cepheid, Thoratec Laboratories Corporation, AviGenics, inc.,
and Atrionix. Mr. Moretti lectured in finance at University of
California, Berkeley, School of Business Administration from 1977 to
1979, and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Berkeley
Entrepreneur’s Forum. Mr. Moretti has a BA degree in Economics, magna
cum laude from Princeton University (1972) and a JD degree (cum laude)
from Harvard Law School (1975).
