Art Buckland

Art Buckland is the Chairman, President and CEO of Clare, Inc. Mr.
Buckland has previously held senior management positions for Texas
Instruments, Fairchild, Teradyne and Schlumberger, and run several
independent companies. He has started several businesses and joint
ventures throughout Asia and has lived and worked in many European and
North American locations. In July 1996, Mr. Buckland was awarded the
Entrepreneur of the Year award, Turnaround category (sponsored by Ernst
& Young, NASDAQ and others) for his work with Clare. He holds an MBA
with Honors from Harvard Business School, an MSEE from Syracuse
University and speaks five languages.
