ANDR HROUX has been President and Chief Executive Officer of MAAX Inc.
since 1999. He began with the company that year as Vice President of
Operations. Mr. Hroux graduated from the Royal Military College (Saint-
Jean, Quebec) in 1979 and received a Bachelor degree in Business
Administration. In 1980, he became a Logistics Officer with the Canadian
Armed Forces. Based in Quebec and New Brunswick, he worked in
purchasing, finance, transport and management information systems. He
was also a Logistics Officer for the United Nations in Greece and
Germany. In 1985 be became Logistics Manager for Oerlikon Arospatial
and later became Plant Manager, Operations Manager and Vice President of
Operations within Smith & Nephew, the British pharmaceutical giant. In
1994, he became Vice President-General Manager of one of Domtar’s
divisions in Huntsville, Ontario, a position he held until the sale of
the division in 1996 to an American financial group. In 1995 he became
President and CEO of CDM Papier Dcor.
