Alan Roberson

ALAN ROBERSON, Director of Regulatory Affairs for the American Water
Works Association, is responsible for implementing the Association’s
overall regulatory program with all federal agencies, including the EPA,
CDC, USGS and USDA. He and his technical staff work closely with EPA
staff on the development of drinking water security policies and
national drinking water regulations. He manages several technical
workgroups and consulting contracts to analyze EPA’s proposed drinking
water regulations. He is a licensed trainer for Sandia Laboratory’s Risk
Assessment Methodology-Water (RAM-WTM) and has developed a two-day
workshop on contamination monitoring technologies. Mr. Roberson has 12
years’ consulting engineering experience with the design and project
management for water treatment, water storage and site development
projects. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia
Tech and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. He
is a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
