GEORGE W. CHILIAN, President and CEO of Metalore Resources Limited, was
appointed Managing Director of the company (successor to Metalore Mining
Company Limited, 1943) in the summer of 1955 and was first elected as
President of the company early in 1956. While earning a BA in Economics
and Business Administration from Hamline University in St. Paul,
Minnesota, Mr. Chilian also attended night school courses (University of
Minnesota) in Geology. He specialized in Canadian Resource Stocks as an
Investment Counselor during his attendance at university. He served with
the United States Navy Air Reserve for 12 years (during the Korean War),
attaining the rate of First Class Petty Officer and qualified for the
rank of Ensign before being Honorably Discharged. He is presently still
very active as the President of Metalore and the President of Southern
Ontario Natural Gas Limited (which he incorporated in 1966 as a private,
family-owned enterprise) and Director of Ontex Resources Limited, Pifher
Resources Inc., and Echo Energy Inc., which are public companies. Profile
