DANIEL E. FRIEDMANN is President and Chief Executive Officer of
MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. In 1979 he joined MacDonald,
Dettwiler where he worked as an Engineer while studying for his Master
of Applied Science degree, which he received from UBC in 1983. From
1982-1988, he was a Product Manager and then a Marketing Manager with
responsibility for Marketing and Sales of all systems for the company.
Over the next seven years, he served as a Vice President and had
responsibility for project management, business development, long-term
operating plans and operational procedures. In 1992, Mr. Friedmann was
designated Chief Operating Officer and joined the Board of Directors. He
was appointed to his current position as President and Chief Executive
Officer in 1995. Mr. Friedmann has spent his entire business career at
