Philip Deck – Mortice Kern Systems (mkx.to)

PHILIP C. DECK is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of MKS Inc. Mr. Deck joined MKS in January 2001 to lead the company through its next stage of growth. From April 1993 to November 1999, Mr. Deck was Chairman and/or CEO of Certicom Corp., a NASDAQ and TSE-traded company engaged in the development and marketing of cryptographic technologies for computing and communications products. Mr. Deck led all aspects of Certicom's development including the launch of its leading elliptic curve encryption technology, international standardization of the technology and licensing to the worldwide leaders in computing and communications. Since 1989, Mr. Deck has also served as a principal of HSD Partners Inc., a Toronto- based merchant banking firm that makes investments in, and assists in the management of, growth companies.
